While we encourage you to add as many categories as you think are relevant, we have a few guidelines to ensure the system works smoothly for everyone.
Please make sure the categories you choose are accurate and relevant to your book. Accurate categorization helps readers find exactly what they’re looking for and improves their overall experience on the site. We will remove categories if we think the book doesn’t fit.
Our category system is constantly evolving. We regularly update it by adding new categories and occasionally removing those that are less relevant. We also have several systems that will automatically add categories to books based on…things. So if you see categories that you didn’t add, don’t be alarmed. You are allowed to remove categories for your books that you think were added in error.
Not all categories will be visible on the site immediately. We’re refining what the new site will look like and we want the categories to be useful for readers. We’re going to make some mistakes I’m sure. But in the end, more categories for your books gives you more opportunities to be seen.
